The Gift of Hope: Year End Giving
If you’re like me, there’s always one or two people on your holiday gift list for whom I never know what to buy. They already have everything they really need and want. A bottle of wine? A holiday sweater? Besides, what size? What color?
It seems the most appreciated holiday gifts are personal, thoughtful; so, over the years my year-end donations have increased as I make honorary gifts to non-profits about which they care. These gifts are always the perfect size and color; better yet, they also always put a smile on the recipient’s face. And for the charitable organization, these honorary gifts offer hope. I can’t think of a better gift than hope; can you?
United Way is hope in action; we are the hand raisers, the problem solvers, the game changers. Hope in action to so many yet only ONE MISSION: to increase the organized capacity of our community to care for its people. We create positive and permanent change through partnerships, find new solutions to old problems and mobilize the best resources. But we don’t do it alone. We invite you to join us in creating long-lasting solutions
As Christmas fast approaches and you’re looking over your holiday gift list, consider honoring loved ones with a donation to United Way and empower people right here in Volusia and Flagler Counties to succeed in school, get on solid financial ground and live healthier lives. When you give to United Way, your donation helps foster both individual and collective success. And that makes for a hope-filled holiday!
Happy Holidays!
