Power of the Purse

The 19th Annual-Power of the Purse

When: September, 9th 2022 at 11 AM

Where:

Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Why: As one of our greatest fundraisers, we help to support women and children in the county of Volusia through mini-grants given to local non-profit organizations!

Chicks for Kicks

Chicks for Kicks

Adopted in 2014, the Women United began the Chicks for Kicks drive that collects new or gently used shoes for all ages, genders and styles to be distributed to these agencies.

Looking to fulfill a community need, the Women United Volusia Chapter asked many of our grant funded agencies what their greatest needs were for their clients. Overwhelmingly, these agencies expressed a need for shoes.

Who We Fund

Who We Fund

The Women United Volusia Chapter is proud to support local community organizations in Volusia County through limited grant funding.  Funds raised during the Power of the Purse Luncheon are distributed every fall at Evening of Thanks to organizations serving women and children in this community.

In 2021 Women United Volusia granted $84,300 to 29 agencies in Volusia County, and contributed $20,748 to the United Way Community Fund.

United for Little Ones

There are mothers everyday in Volusia County that prepare to welcome their new babies with little to no support system.  In an effort to give them the best foot forward, Women United Volusia Chapter will be delivering Baby Bundles
