The Volunteer Center
United Way's Volunteer Center is one of Volusia and Flagler Counties largest resources devoted solely to the promotion and nurturing of volunteerism and community service. Working within the community since 1977, the Volunteer Center plays an integral role in United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties' mission to increase the organized capacity of our community to care for its people.
The Volunteer Center recruits, develops, refers and recognizes volunteers for over 100 nonprofit organizations and agencies community wide. Based on skills, interests and time restraints, we can help individuals, students, families, community organizations and businesses find volunteer opportunities. The Volunteer Center works to provide nonprofit agencies with volunteers and training to fulfill their organization’s goals and needs.
The Volunteer Center also helps to organize several community days of service including:
- MLK Day of Service (January)
- Days of Action (June)
- Stuff the Bus (August)
- Make a Difference Day (October)
- Holiday Drives (December)
