Areas of Impact

Education:

We all succeed when a child succeeds in school.  A quality education is the basis for personal and community success.

United Way invests in programs that help children and adults succeed in school and in live.

Local Programs & Initiatives:

ReadingPals, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Thrive by Five, United Way Partner Agencies focusing on Education.

Income:

47% of Volusia County households are working but not making enough to afford basic needs such as housing, food, transporations and childcare.  Meanwhile, millions of dollars in Earned Income Tax Credits go unclaimed each year and predatory lending practices make it harder for working families to get ahead.  United Way invests in local programs to help families earn, keep and save their hard earned money so they can worry about other things.

VITA: Free Income Tax Program, Campaign for Working Families, Financial Literacy Workshops, and more!
